How to Fix YouTube Error The uploader has not made this video available in your country

Are you getting this strange YouTube error The uploader has not made this video available in your country even though you are residing in that country? After wasting countless hours trying various things I was able to find a workaround for this.

The uploader has not made this video available in your country is an error shown on YouTube when you try to view a video that is not allowed in your region. YouTube offers an option to the uploader to block or make a video available in certain territories if they only own rights to it in those territories. While it may work well on desktop this feature seems broken on the mobile app.

I tried uninstalling/installing the YouTube mobile app, clearing the cache, changing the location of the YouTube account/channel, turning on location tracking on my phone but to no avail.

How I fixed The uploader has not made this video available in your country Error

The uploader has not made this video available in your country

All I had to do was turn on Mobile data and the error was gone.

For me this started happening recently. So I’m not sure if there was a YouTube app update that’s causing this issue. I really hope YouTube fixes this soon. I don’t want to turn on mobile data every time I need to watch a restricted video.
