How to fix 404 Sitemap Not Found Error in the Yoast SEO Plugin
I don’t if anyone else is having this issue. But these tricks worked for me.
1. Go to the Plugins menu from your WordPress admin dashboard. Deactivate Yoast SEO.
2. Visit your sitemap and the error should be gone now.
Usually, it’s located at http://example.com/sitemap_index.xml. But you can just enter http://example.com/sitemap.xml and Yoast SEO will automatically redirect you to the sitemap_index.xml file.
