Sell Photo Plugin Usage

Create a new post/page and upload your photos by clicking on the Add Media button. Once you have all the photos uploaded you can select them and choose to create a gallery (on the media uploader window). Insert the gallery and switch to Text mode to view the shortcode. It should look similar to the following:

[gallery link="file" ids="687,688,689,690,691,692"]

All you need to do is add a “sell_photo” parameter and the plugin will create a payment button for each gallery image.

[gallery link="file" ids="687,688,689,690,691,692" sell_photo="1"]

By default the price specified in the plugin settings will apply on a gallery. But you can choose to specify a different amount.

[gallery link="file" ids="687,688,689,690,691,692" sell_photo="1" price="6.99"]

Publish/update the page to view your e-commerce photo gallery.

Is it possible to set an individual price for each photo?

@arvejas, It’s not possible at the moment since the photos are rendered by a gallery. You can specify a different price for each gallery though.

Is there any photo protection… can not see that on the demo… can easily copy photo without need to buy?

Is there a watermark option to protect the photos otherwise they can right-click and save without the need to buy making this plugin obsolete.

this does not work! Paypal will not let me login (and yes I have checked my login details) after I have come from clicking on a “Buy Now” button. Is there a reason for this? Do I need an API? Have a look for yourself and see if you can log in after choosing an image to buy… http://www.lisasaad.com/the-anonymous-man/

@Lisa, Once you go to the PayPal payment page the plugin has no control over the checkout process. Besides the plugin doesn’t know your PayPal login credentials either. So it must be an issue on the PayPal side.

Same for me, and then when I try to test if there is something wrong with my account, the link on the same page will be wrong. If I go directly to paypal then everything is OK with my account

@Tony, Do you get this error when you land on the PayPal payment page by clicking on a “Buy Now” button? I don’t see this error. It seems to be working fine for me in both test and live modes. Please contact PayPal to see if your account is properly configured.

It all works fine. Simple to use and set up… but how does the customer then download their purchase? I can’t see any email settings with links or file downloads?

im wondering the same thing! How to download the file?

      Reply
      • admin says

@vasil884, The plugin doesn’t automatically send the files at the moment. You will need to manually send the photo downloads via email.
