What It Does
When you use a shortcode from the WP Stripe Checkout plugin to create a button, this add-on generates valid Schema.org Product markup for it automatically. The structured product data that can be recognized by:
- Knowledge extraction tools
- AI search engines
- AI crawlers and agents
- Google and other search engines
- Schema.org-compatible parsers
The add-on generates Product schema markup based on the attributes you provide in the shortcode. A product name is the minimum piece of information needed for search engines and AI systems to identify the product.
Here is how a product will appear in your Google Search Console account when Google search crawler discovers it.
Compatibility
The add-on will work only if you use one of these shortcodes from the WP Stripe Checkout plugin to accept payments:
- wp_stripe_checkout_session
- wp_stripe_checkout_payment_link
If you use the wp_stripe_checkout_payment_link shortcode, it will require additional attributes (e.g. name, price) to generate product markup.
